Presskit Xavier Boscher

Here is mOndes en Couleurs by Xavier Boscher, a composer, guitarist, and bassist involved in numerous musical projects, presenting a bright and contemporary jazz sound infused with world music influences and driven by a quest for sensitive, accessible, and evocative melodies. The release is scheduled for June 1, 2026.

Through this EP, he sought to create a musical journey that blends organic energy, contemporary textures, and colorful atmospheres, where each piece tells a story of an emotion, a landscape, or a suspended moment in time.

For a first listen or broadcast, I would particularly recommend the track “Lumina”, whose sunny, elegant, and instantly immersive atmosphere perfectly embodies the identity of the project.

The CD also includes a bonus album entitled “Mise à nu” (Stripped Bare), offering a more intimate and minimalist side of his musical universe: a refined, sensitive, and warm jazz style that leaves more room for silence, space, and raw emotion. For this part of the project, I would recommend the tracks “Mango” and “Notes Multicolores” (Multicolored Notes).

I hope these pieces will find a place in your programming or editorial coverage and resonate with your audience.

Biography

Xavier Boscher is a French musician, composer, writer, and painter with a distinctive artistic universe. A multi-instrumentalist (guitar, bass, keyboards), he has been active in the progressive rock and metal scene since the late 1990s, both as a solo artist and as a member of acclaimed projects such as Misanthrope and Max Enix.

Over the years, he has collaborated with numerous international artists from the progressive music scene while simultaneously developing a prolific solo career that blends instrumental music, cinematic atmospheres, and new-age influences. As the founder of the independent label Orfeo’lab, he has built a rich and personal body of work through numerous concept albums praised by the specialized press.

In recent years, Xavier Boscher has gradually steered his work toward a modern, luminous form of jazz, open to world music influences. With his new EP, “mOndes en Couleurs” (“Worlds in Colors”), he explores a more organic and melodic approach in which improvisation, sensitivity, and acoustic textures take center stage, while preserving the harmonic richness and emotional depth that have always defined his artistic journey.
